Creek Field at Radnor High School

 

Saturdays (May only) 9:30-11:00am

This is an in-house program dedicated to developing base skills and learning the game of lacrosse.  Key fundamentals such as throwing, catching, scooping and cradling will be taught. The goal at this level is to create a positive experience, provide exercise, and make certain the girls have fun!

Pinnies or t-shirts will be provided.

All girls will need to bring their own stick, goggles, mouth guard and water bottle to each session.

Mon & Wed 6-7:15 PM  

Radnor Memorial and Dittmar

 

Games: 6 Round Robins on Saturdays (1 Sunday game 4/28)

 

This program continues to emphasize the fundamental stick skills and starts to focus on the strategy of team play by adding competitive & fun games with surrounding townships. 

Pinnies will be provided to for use at practice and in games.

 

All girls will need to bring their own stick, goggles, mouth guard and water bottle to each session.  

$155 on/before Jan 31st

$205 after Jan 31st (includes $50 late fee)

Evaluations:                      March 3rd – 11th (see below) @ RHS Turf Fields

Practices (begin 3/18)                    Mon and Wed 5:30 – 7 pm  

Radnor High School Turf fields

Games:                

6 Saturday games (2 Sunday games)

Evaluations Dates:

  • Sunday March 3 (11 am – noon) 

  • Monday March 4  (7:30 – 8:45 pm)  

  • Wednesday March 6 (7:30 – 8:45 pm) 

  • Sunday March 10th (11 am – noon)

  • Monday March 11  (7:30 – 8:45 pm) 

  • Wednesday March 13 (7:30 – 8:45 pm) 

Additionally, there is a PAGLA Playday (and Ref Training) on Sunday 3/17.  This will be used as a final evaluation only if needed due to weather cancellations on above dates.   More details and times to follow.  

 

Teams will be posted on radnorgirls.com website 1-2 days after evaluations are completed. 

This is a fun and competitive level of lacrosse.  Players are expected to commit to attend all practices and games.  Team placement is based on individual players’ skills levels.   Players are assessed doing drills and game-like drills during the Evaluation Days by a group of coaches and independent evaluators. 

RGYL will issue a Team Pinnie in advance of evaluation days (details to follow).  Girls will need to provide their own black sports skirt/kilt to be worn for games.  During the cold weather it is fine to wear black leggings underneath.   The Radnor Uniform online store will open in January to purchase these items.
